These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the official website of the Society for Agriculture and Allied Sciences (SAAS) and the membership, services, and activities offered by the Society. By accessing this website or applying for membership, you agree to comply with these Terms, the Society’s bylaws, and applicable laws.

1. About the Society

The Society for Agriculture and Allied Sciences (SAAS) is a registered professional society under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act, 2012. The registered office of the Society is located at CCSHAU College of Agriculture, Bawal, Rewari, Haryana. The Society operates primarily within the State of Haryana and works to promote research, innovation, capacity building, and sustainable development in agriculture and allied sciences.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, submitting a membership application, making payments, or participating in Society activities, users and members agree to be bound by these Terms and the bylaws of SAAS, as amended from time to time.

3. Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to individuals who:

  • Are 21 years of age or above at the time of admission
  • Subscribe to the aims and objectives of SAAS
  • Have paid the applicable membership or subscription fees
  • Are not insolvent, of unsound mind, or convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude

Admission to membership is subject to approval by the Governing Body, whose decision shall be final.

4. Categories of Membership

SAAS offers the following membership categories:

  • Founder Members
  • Life Members
  • Ordinary / Annual Members
  • Honorary Members

Each category is governed by specific rights, privileges, and obligations as defined in the Society’s bylaws.

5. Membership Fees and Payments

  • Membership and subscription fees are payable as prescribed by the Society.
  • Fees once paid are non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • Failure to pay annual subscription fees within the stipulated time may result in cessation of membership.

All payments must be made through authorized banking channels or digital payment modes approved by the Society.

6. Rights and Obligations of Members

Members shall:

  • Abide by the rules, regulations, and bylaws of the Society
  • Maintain updated personal and contact information
  • Act in a manner that upholds the reputation and objectives of SAAS

Voting rights are available to eligible members subject to compliance with fee payment and bylaws. Honorary Members do not have voting rights.

7. Cessation, Suspension, or Expulsion of Membership

Membership may cease due to:

  • Voluntary resignation
  • Non-payment of dues
  • Activities detrimental to the interests of the Society

The Society reserves the right to suspend or expel members following due process as laid down in its bylaws. Decisions taken by the competent bodies of SAAS shall be final and binding.

8. Elections and Governance

The governance of the Society is carried out through:

  • The Collegium
  • The Governing Body

Elections are conducted strictly in accordance with the Society’s bylaws, and no proxy voting is permitted. Office-bearers serve in an honorary capacity and are not entitled to remuneration.

9. Use of Website Content

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, publications, and documents, is the intellectual property of SAAS unless stated otherwise. Unauthorized copying, reproduction, or commercial use of website content is strictly prohibited without prior written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

SAAS shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Temporary unavailability of the website
  • Decisions taken by members or third parties based on information available on the website

All activities are subject to applicable laws and internal governance procedures.

11. Amendments to Terms

SAAS reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms at any time in accordance with its bylaws and statutory requirements. Updated Terms will be posted on the website and shall be effective immediately upon publication.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Haryana.
