Refund and Return Policy

The Society for Agriculture and Allied Sciences (SAAS) values transparency and fairness in all its financial transactions. This Refund and Return Policy outlines the terms under which refunds, cancellations, and returns are handled for memberships, events, publications, and services offered by the Society.


1. Membership Fees

  • All membership fees (including Founder, Life, Annual, and Honorary categories) are non-refundable and non-transferable once paid.
  • Membership fees are collected towards administrative, academic, and operational activities of the Society.
  • In case a membership application is rejected by the Governing Body, the decision shall be final, and no refund shall be applicable, unless otherwise decided by the Society in exceptional circumstances.

2. Annual Subscription Fees

  • Annual subscription fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • Failure to renew membership within the stipulated time may result in cessation of membership, without entitlement to any refund or compensation.

3. Conferences, Seminars, and Events

  • Registration fees paid for conferences, seminars, workshops, training programs, or similar events are non-refundable, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the event-specific guidelines.
  • In the event of cancellation or rescheduling of an event by SAAS, the Society may, at its discretion:
    • Transfer the registration to a rescheduled date, or
    • Adjust the fee against a future event

No cash refunds shall be issued unless specifically mentioned.


4. Publications and Journals

  • Payments made for journals, books, proceedings, or other publications are non-refundable once the order has been processed or dispatched.
  • Returns or replacements are permitted only in cases of printing defects or physical damage, subject to verification and notification within 7 days of receipt.

5. Donations and Contributions

  • Donations, grants, and voluntary contributions made to SAAS are non-refundable, as they are utilized for achieving the objectives of the Society.

6. Incorrect or Duplicate Payments

  • In case of duplicate or excess payments due to technical errors, users must notify SAAS within 7 working days of the transaction.
  • After verification, eligible refunds may be processed through the original mode of payment within a reasonable time frame.

7. Mode of Refund

  • Approved refunds, if any, shall be processed only through bank transfer or original payment mode.
  • SAAS shall not be responsible for delays caused by banking institutions or payment gateways.

8. Discretion of the Society

  • All refund-related decisions are subject to the sole discretion of the Governing Body of SAAS.
  • The Society reserves the right to modify or withdraw any refund policy at any time without prior notice.

9. Amendments to Policy

SAAS reserves the right to amend this Refund and Return Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon publication on the website.
